A truly secure wallet shouldn't put the burden on users to stay on top of updates. Like, why should the average person have to constantly monitor and manually patch their wallet? That's backwards. Security should just... work. It should be built in so that users don't have to do anything. The moment you need people to remember to update, you've already failed the design. A properly architected wallet handles these things seamlessly in the background—no user action required.

The ideal is very full of hope, but what about reality? The automatic update feature has been available for a long time, but the problem is that users still have to turn it on themselves, right?

That's right, user experience is the hard truth. Automatic updates should have been standard by now.

That's true, but in reality, there are hardly any such products. Most wallets still rely on users' awareness; someone should have promoted this matter long ago.

That's true, but the reality is that most people will still forget to update...

Ideals are great, but what about reality? It's easy to talk, but hard to do, buddy.
