In a significant expansion of autonomous ride-hailing operations, WeRide (WRD) has officially partnered with Uber Technologies, Inc. (UBER) to deploy Robotaxi services on the Uber platform in Dubai. The service is now operational in key locations spanning Umm Suqeim and Jumeirah, two of the emirate’s most vibrant and frequently visited districts, marking a major milestone for autonomous vehicle adoption in the Middle East.

Fleet Operations and Market Positioning

Tawasul has been designated as the primary fleet operator responsible for managing WeRide’s vehicle fleet on Uber’s ecosystem. This operational arrangement enables seamless integration of autonomous vehicles into Uber’s existing ride-hailing infrastructure, allowing passengers to access Robotaxi rides directly through the Uber app alongside traditional ride options.
