By decoupling data availability (DA) from the execution layer, Celestia allows developers to build custom execution chains (such as Rollup) based on their DA layer without having to maintain a consensus network themselves. This 'plug and play' mode significantly reduces development costs, allowing teams to focus on business logic innovation.

### Core Advantages: Scalability and Interoperability

- Horizontal Scalability: Celestia uses Data Availability Sampling (DAS) technology to allow nodes to confirm the overall network state by only verifying partial data, thus increasing throughput while maintaining decentralization.
- Seamless cross-chain interaction: The modular design inherently supports multi-chain ecosystems, and different execution chains can achieve secure communication through Celestia's DA layer, breaking the 'island effect'.

### TIA Token: Ecological Value Carrier

TIA is the native token of the Celestia network, issued when the mainnet went live in October 2023, with a total supply of 1 billion. According to the market data on Gate.io, TIA is currently priced at $3.38, with a 24-hour decrease of -1.65%. The current market capitalization of TIA is $1.91 billion, ranking 44th in the overall market. TIA briefly surpassed the $20 mark in early 2024, and the current price has dropped by over 80% from its all-time high.

- Staking maintains network security: Users can participate in network consensus (PoS mechanism) by staking TIA, earning approximately 15%-20% annualized returns. Stakers also bear the responsibility of "data availability commitment," and face the risk of penalty (Slashing) if they maliciously hide data.
- Governance Voting Rights: TIA holders can participate in key decisions such as protocol upgrades, parameter adjustments, etc., promoting decentralized governance of the ecosystem.

### TIA Token Economic Model

- Allocation structure: In the initial supply, the R&D team and early investors account for about 40%, the community and ecological fund account for 36.6%, and the remaining portion is used for public sales and incentivizing contributors to the test network.
- Release mechanism: The team and investor tokens have a 1-year lock-up period, followed by a linear release over 3 years, aiming to reduce market selling pressure.
