Aave DAO has unanimously approved a proposal to initiate discussions about deploying Aave V4 on the Ethereum mainnet this year, marking the entry of its governance process into an initial non-binding phase. This upgrade introduces a modular hub-and-spoke architecture designed to consolidate liquidity and allow customized lending rules and risk parameters. This comprehensive reform aims to enhance risk isolation, integrate the GHO stablecoin, and improve the liquidation engine. Based on community feedback, Aave Labs will prepare a formal AIP (Aave Improvement Proposal) for on-chain voting. Meanwhile, Aave has also undergone leadership adjustments, with key contributors BGD Labs and Aave Chan Initiative set to exit.
